The Foster Kid

This book is educational and will outline important factors which have been statistically proven as a message of hope to those suffering from the related topics of some of life’s darkest trials. The foster Kid is an unnerving and true account of the distressing childhood of Bell Taylor as a result of horrid treatment by her biological mother and father. The book can offer hope, healing and information resources to victims of Domestic Abuse. The book is also very insightful into other topics currently being faced by teens today including knife crime, gang violence and teenage pregnancy.

About – The Foster Kid (part one)

“To anyone who has suffered from child abuse or who has lived in local authority care – the worse thing about being abused is having to deal with it alone and feeling isolated. What does not break you can make you stronger, you can overcome all the memories and traumas associated with abuse to live the life you want to. Once you see it you can be it. Facing such predicaments from an early age can give you a unique experience that can be turned around into something positive – things can get better, it just takes much faith, strength, focus and determination”

“To those who work within the profession of children and young adults who have been abused, Many thanks, on behalf of myself as a survivor  and on behalf of my brothers and sisters who also have suffered from abuse and have benefitted from services provided through roles. It is the patience, love, skills and the experience of trained individuals, both in voluntary and in paid work, that have helped victims. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.“

Bell’s memoir ‘The Foster Kid’ is an alarming true account of her distressing childhood in the care of her biological mother and father.

“I always knew it was wrong, what was happening to me was not right and in no way moral, I just could not do anything about it at the time and so I bared it for years in silence through fear and intimidation to please my abuser and hoping that the abuse would stop and that one day I would be loved. It took me 14 years to face up to the extent of my abuse, and to break the silence that was in my eyes if you looked close enough. I was lucky to have the support and friends who have been crucial to me and a major support during the hardest times. I would also give thanks to all the various organisations throughout London that I have worked for, in supportive roles, for the opportunity to give back using my experiences knowledge and expertise. ”

At nights I cry. I try not to cry too loudly. His room is right across the hall, directly opposite and if I disturbed him with the cry’s of my weeping, or if he even heard the diminutive snivels, it would stir his angry, and his fury would send him straight in here to my room to shut me up.” The Foster Kid is the first of a trilogy about Bell Taylors life.

“I wrote this book to educate society of the severity and scope of child abuse and to bring hope to anyone who has suffered personally from such vile and ghastly abuse.

Bell Taylor resides in the United Kingdom.
